NANJING, December 14 -- At the dawn of China's seventh National Memorial Day for the Nanjing Massacre Victims, 21 memorial halls of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in China formed an alliance to remember war histroy and cherish peace.

Last month, three memerial halls, namely, the Museum of the War of the Chinese People's Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, "9.18" Historical Museum in Shenyang and Memorial Hall of the Victims in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders, jointly initiated the establishment of an alliance for the memory of war and peace. The first batch of 21 member units was quickly decided after the proposal was issued. The secretariat was set up at the Institute of Nanjing Massacre History and International Peace Studies.

"The establishment of the alliance is conducive to the mutual assistance among venues and the integration of peace education resources. Through joint commemorations and publicity, it can better expose fascist crimes against humanity, demonstrate China's firm attitude of pursuing friendly relations with all other countries and peaceful development, as well as establish the peace-loving image of the Chinese nation," said Luo Cunkang, curator of the Museum of the War of the Chinese People's Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.

In addition to offline commemorative activities, heads of the 21 member units communicated via videos, calling for the remembrance of national shame and praying for peace. Remember the misery of history and strengthen our awareness of potential dangers. May war buried in the history and peace sustaining the future, they wished.
