BEIJING, Nov. 27 -- The China-Singapore Exercise Cooperation-2024 joint army training wrapped up in central China's Henan Province on Tuesday.
The leaders of the two militaries addressed the closing ceremony, and awarded certificates to outstanding participants and commanders.
The Exercise Cooperation series of joint army training has a history of 15 years since it was launched in 2009. This year marks the sixth event of the series.
This year's joint training continued the theme of counter-terrorism operations. It highlighted the equipment technology, real combat environment and integrated command.
The participating troops of the two sides conducted mixed group training on more than 20 subjects of urban joint counter-terrorism operations, including operation of weapons and equipment, tactical coordination, elimination of remaining enemies, search and disposal of explosives, medical treatment and evacuation, and so on.
A variety of unmanned equipment, such as window-breaking drones, wall-climbing robots, explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) robots, and reconnaissance and strike integrated unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs ), were utilized in the training.
The two sides also carried out art performances and other cultural exchange activities. The Chinese side introduced Chinese intangible cultural heritage such as paper-cutting, calligraphy, face-changing and dough sculpture to its Singaporean counterparts.
The participating troops of the two sides have deepened their cooperation through communication and exchanges and enhanced their joint counter-terrorism capabilities, thereby further promoting cooperation and mutual trust between the two militaries.
