BEIJING, Nov. 26 -- A US P-8A anti-submarine patrol aircraft flew through the Taiwan Strait on November 26 and hyped it up publicly. Senior Colonel Cao Jun, spokesperson for the air force under the Chinese PLA Eastern Theater Command, slammed this provocative move in a written statement released on Tuesday.
The spokesperson said that the Chinese PLA Eastern Theater Command had organized its naval and air forces to follow, monitor and deal with the trespassing US aircraft effectively.
"The US's remarks distorted the legal fact, confused the public and misled the international perception. We urge the US side to stop distorting and hyping up, and safeguard regional peace and stability," stressed the spokesperson.
