WAU, South Sudan, Sept. 3 -- The 14th Chinese Peacekeeping Horizontal Engineering Company to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) recently passed the UN equipment inspection in the third quarter. The inspection officials spoke highly of the Chinese peacekeepers' high-quality equipment maintenance and comprehensive barracks construction.
An inspection team formed by personnel selected from multiple UNMISS departments conducted equipment inspections at the three camps of the Chinese peacekeeping engineering company. During the inspection, the Chinese peacekeepers introduced the performance of various equipment on site and demonstrated their superb operation skills as required by the mission.
It is reported that since being deployed to the mission area, the 14th Chinese peacekeeping horizontal engineering company has successively completed various peacekeeping operations such as supply route repair, airport facility renovation, prefabricated house construction, and humanitarian assistance. These efforts won the Chinese peacekeepers high praise from UNMISS and local officials.
