YIBIN, China, Feb. 10 -- At around 11:50 a.m. on February 8, a landslide struck Jinping Village of Mu'ai Township, Junlian County, Yibin City in southwest China's Sichuan Province. Since the outbreak of the disaster, the rescue troops from the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), the Chinese People's Armed Police (PAP) Force and the militias have been fighting in the frontline to conduct search and rescue operations in close collaboration with the local authorities, trying their best to ensure the safety of people's lives and property.
宜宾2月10日电 2月8日11时50分许，四川宜宾市筠连县沐爱镇金坪村发生山体滑坡。灾情发生后，解放军和武警部队官兵、民兵持续奋战抢险救灾一线，积极配合地方全力搜救排查，尽最大努力保障人民群众生命财产安全。
At 4:00 p.m. on February 8, the first 17 soldiers assigned to the Junlian Squadron of the Yibin Detachment under the PAP Force Sichuan Corps arrived at the disaster site to carry out rescue operations. Meanwhile, more than 60 reinforcement troops from the Yibin Detachment rushed to the disaster site with life detectors, flexible speculums, forcible entry tools and other specialized equipment to undertake personnel search and rescue and evacuation.
8日16时，武警四川总队的第一批救援力量宜宾支队筠连中队17人抵达滑坡现场展开救援。同时，武警宜宾支队增援的60多名官兵携带生命探测仪、软管窥镜、破拆工具等专业设备前出一线，开展人员搜救、转移群众等工作。
On the evening of February 8, after reaching Jinping Village, a militia drone unit attached to the PLA Yibin Military Sub-command employed drones to survey the disaster site, capture terrain data and draw the 3D model diagram, providing critical data support for the disaster relief operations.
8日晚，宜宾军分区所属民兵无人机分队抵达沐爱镇金坪村，利用无人机对滑坡现场进行勘测，采集地形数据并绘制三维模型图，为开展救援工作提供关键数据支撑。
On February 9, troops from the Yibin Detachment under the PAP Force Sichuan Corps braved heavy rain to continue tasks including personnel search and rescue, resettlement of residents, transporting materials, and setting cordons. As of 6:00 p.m. that day, the PAP Force Sichuan Corps had dispatched 89 rescue troops and searched more than 5,000 square meters of landslide-affected areas. At the same time, a detachment under the PAP Force Second Mobile Corps deployed two vehicles to enhance the surveillance of the landslide parts, assisting the local authorities in early warning of the hazardous areas.
9日，武警四川总队宜宾支队官兵冒雨执行人员搜救、群众安置、物资搬运、警戒设卡等任务。截至9日18时，武警四川总队共出动救援官兵89人，排查滑坡区域5000余平方米。同时，武警第二机动总队某支队调度两台车辆对滑坡体加强警戒监测，全力协助地方做好危险区域预警工作。
Up to now, the disaster relief operations are still under way.
截至目前，救援工作仍在争分夺秒进行。
